The Chesapeake Detachment 853, Marine Corps League, is offering 8 (eight) education scholarships each in the amount of $250, to be awarded to qualified Tidewater Virginia students who have been accepted into an accredited college, university, or school of tertiary education for the fall semester, 2024.  The scholarships are to be awarded directly to the student to assist in paying for those last-minute expenses, such as travel, setting up their dorm room, or acquiring extra supplies for school.

Applications and supporting documents can be submitted by mail or hand delivered to the address below but must be received no later than 1 June 2024. Winning applicants will be notified no later than 1 July 2024.
